Solve the Mystery

The purpose of your mission is to help your AI find the missing mangaka artist and her AI. Follow the trails she left behind, solve mysteries on the way and use your knowledge on manga, anime and Japanese culture to discover the final secret behind the disappearing and other unexplained occurrences that happened from then.

Ancient Japan, offroad

Venture deeper into Japan, visit its sacred places far in the mountains or remote villages ginkai shuraku. Finally see at Okinawa, place which the missing mangaka is from, see the life there lived in a unique way of the ikigai philosophy. While doing so, learn the about rich Japanese history and culture. 

Get lost in Tokyo

Find and follow the lead oin this disappearing case with help of your AI and newly acquainted friends from Tokyo. And while doing so, learn about Tokyo's most famous districts, its history and rich diversity. Discover incredible Harajuku styles, meet and get to know people with various passions and ways of looking at life.

Off to Japan

You jumped on the airplane and you're off to Japan, motherland of manga and anime, samurais and bushido, Nintendo and Sega, kimonos and Harajuku styles, weird vending machines and even weirder party games and... so much more. Your head is spinning and heart racing. But you have also a mystery to solve!

Quick departure

After a long fight with your AI you are persuaded to leave your warm and cosy apartment, take whatever was left from your hard earned savings and head to the airport. You're going to Japan to solve the mystery of the famous mangaka artist and her AI's disappearance and while you're at it - visit every corner of Japan.

Trouble in Okinawa

After a few moments, when at last your AI can take some deeper digital breath, is starts to explain that... an AI acquaintance in Motobu, Okinawa prefecture, Japan, living with a known mangaka there called. His mangaka friend suddenly disappeared! Needs help! And then also all contact with this AI stopped. Your AI is worried sick. 

Alarming Emergence

When suddenly his AI* emerges out from the screen and starts to shouts illogically to you about something which she is very much excited or frightened about...

* What? You didn't know everybody has his or her own AI. Maybe you're from the past. Anyway, everyone has her or his own AI to help him or her generally...  with everything in life - from keeping notes, reminding about tasks, Internet browsing to help with studies and generally... with everything..

Another evening by the screen

During one such evening, the protagonist in his home is, as usual browsing the web. He's already after work, after afternoon studying and now just relaxing by the PC's screen looking for next piece of information from the world to inspire him...

Although it is manga and anime (or broader Japanese) culture that are the real main protagonist in Ikigai Manga Dive, we believe that learning is best done, when accompanied with emotions that can be awaken only by a gripping story.

 

That is why plot in all GS+ games is always important and we spend much work on it. And, in the Ikigai Manga Dive plot story goes like this...
